Sustain Salone
The first hub, in Sierra Leone, where the work began with farmers.
Sustain Salone grew out of work with farmers in Sierra Leone, helping them use smart and precision farming to choose the crops that will grow best on their land.
Most people in Sierra Leone used charcoal, which harms the planet in many ways. Sustain Salone teaches farmers to make green charcoal from agricultural by-products, alongside smart farming.
“Salone” is the Krio name for Sierra Leone.
