Mission
Putting practical climate knowledge in farmers’ hands, across Africa.
To share the knowledge and skills that African farmers and communities need to farm well, use clean energy and earn a living that protects the land.
Objectives
Farm smarter
Help farmers survey their land, analyse their soil’s nutrients and get weather forecasts for their location, so they choose the crops that will grow best.
Switch to clean fuel
Replace charcoal with green charcoal made from agricultural by-products, and teach communities to make it themselves.
Create green jobs
Build livelihoods that restore the land, such as beekeeping and reforestation.
Grow the network
Open hubs where communities ask for them, with Lake Chad and the Congo Basin next.
Build support abroad
Connect the African diaspora in Europe and the Americas, and communities in the UK, with the work, including through school twinning.
Get involved
The network grows when people take part.
Learn at a hub
Farmers and communities come to the hubs to learn.
Support the hubs
Supporters in the African diaspora and beyond help the hubs reach more farmers.
Ways to support the hubs are coming soon.
Come to a conference
ACAH will hold conferences open to all interested parties.
